New Spots

EricJoshSpots.jpg

Eric Holwell and I were working on some new spots today for my Reel. Our outside shoot planned for this afternoon served up some 19 degree weather and even provided some snow. Neither one of us minded a bit.

Cameras are fun!

We actually shot two spots today and have another one planned for next Tuesday. All three of these spots will promptly go to post after my move to Portland next week.

And of course…they will be posted right here.

    Hey Pat-

Yea! Snow is fun! You should head up to Mountain High for a bit to get your gnar gnar fix. I’m looking forward to witnessing thunder stoms again with the move to P-Town.

Yes, right tool for the job. You are indeed seeing the DVX 100 (and damnit if I couldn’t have the Red Rock Micro - an even better tool for the job - thats cool you have one!).

In this case, I knew my intended (distribution?) was on DVD and my website - PLUS - I wanted to shoot continuous 24p footage without the need for a laptop, external hard drive, and 3rd person [cough, cough] on location. This whole shoot was just Eric and I (and one “actress” for about 5 minutes).

So yeah, back to ole’ trusty! I love that camera.

I should send you a DVD when I get these spots fleshed out.

nice. Here in Austria the sun’s shining but there’s still a bit of snow layin around and we’re starting day #1 of our wonderfully infamous Bluescreen Shooting IV starring random people we found on MySpace and parties ;) Thankfully there’s no need for a mic in this as all audio will get thrown away afterwards- we just want the clips for VJing and different upcoming film projects.

What does scare me though is our first-time use of an HD cam, the Sony FX1. Unfortunately it only does 1080i (1440 res) and not 1080p (1920 res) so our first party in 3 weeks using 3 projectors/screens will have to stick to using only 2 with some smart panning.

I’ll try and get some footage up when i get a chance @ http://public.glenneroo.org under BLUESCREEN. There’s some random tidbits there from our last sessions.
