Good Point Glenneroo. To you, Ajit, I've lifted this review straight from JC in NC via Netflix concerning the film "THE DAY AFTER" (no, not The Day After Tomorrow - The Day After).

"A very powerful movie...it's more of a drama than Sci-Fi about what the [end of the world] would really be like. I would have given it 5 stars but it's not the type of movie anybody really "loves". It is something you continue to think about days after you watch it. If you are looking for a "feel good" movie this isn't it but it is something I highly recommend.

And much like THE DAY AFTER - this movie, CHILDREN OF MEN scared the shit out of me. And I liked it.

Call it SciFiHorror - but horror b/c it hits very close to home.

indeed! This film rocks the house in every aspect! The only rant i have is that, like most movies, everything falls too perfectly into place, know what i mean? Story-wise nicely setup but i lost count of how many "lucky" moments where they escape to the next scene...

YES. This film deserves serious attention, not only for the incredible filmmaking achievement that it represents, but the story, message, and themes it portrays are doubly exciting.

Best film I've seen in a while.
